Dr Avala is a board certified pediatrician serving Placer and Sacramento communities for the past 16 years. The reason Dr Avala became a pediatrician is she has a strong emotional commitment to provide voice to and for the children that need their rights protected and taken care of. "I feel privileged to be able to provide care and support to families and share in the challenges and joys of raising happy and healthy children." Dr. Avala is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys teaching and she serves as a clinical preceptor to third year medical students during their pediatric rotations. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, gardening, reading and travelling.

Dr. Hagilandeswari Sekar is a Board Certified Pediatrician who has been serving for children and teens of Sacramento and Placer county for over 16 years. Dr. Sekar received her Medical Degree from Govt. Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem, India. Dr. Sekar completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency training at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Sekar moved to Sacramento after her training in 2006. She lives with her husband and her two girls. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, hiking, and traveling.
